YIN YOGA

Yin Yoga is a gentle practice, poses are held for several minutes, allowing muscles to soften and deeper connective tissues to release. Over time our habitual movements can create tension that eventually becomes hard to release.

Yin Yoga offers a gradual and sustained release that improves flexibility, increases circulation, and restores range of motion.

This practice calms the nervous system and quiets the mind. A Yin Yoga session will leave you feeling like you’ve had a massage.

 

KUNDALINI YOGA

Kundalini Yoga is an ancient practice, it includes Pranayama, Mantra and Meditation. It allows energy to flow through the spine harmonizing the lower and upper channels of the body offering a sense of balance.

The dynamic Yoga Kriyas build flexibility, strength, and hormonal regulation, while reducing cortisol levels.

Pranayama, in Sanskrit, “Prana “ ~ Life force, “Ayama” ~ Expand, this practice is the regulation of the breath through specific techniques and rhythms.

Mantra is a word, or sound repeated, it offers a point of focus during meditation, in Sanskrit, “Man” ~ mind “Tra” ~ release.

Kundalini, in Sanskrit Kundal means "coiled," this refers to a spiritual energy that resides at the base of the spine, as described in the Yoga Upanishads.

With roots stretching back thousands of years, Kundalini Yoga is a transformative practice that awakens consciousness. When tension dissolves from the body, the mind grows quiet, allowing us to connect with the wisdom of the heart. 

 

MEDITATION

Like a bird flying from valley to mountaintop, Meditation expands perspective and awareness.

Even a few sessions a week can reduce anxiety and improve focus while generating a lasting sense of peace. Studies show regular meditation lowers the stress response, by reducing cortisol and boosting melatonin and endorphins, which are our natural mood enhancers.

Meditation helps us to respond, rather than react. With practice, we feel more present, no matter what life brings.

As a certified personal trainer I offer sessions that will tone your body and reduce post workout stiffness and inflammation. With regular practice, you'll feel energized and centered. My style of training is inviting for beginners and healing for advanced partitioners. I believe in creating a lasting fitness routine that becomes a seamless part of your lifestyle.
